Annex of the MoU between LEDIB and Nisava District Municipalities Signed

Representative of the Nisava District and of the LEDIB programme signed an annex of the Memorandum of Understanding marking the official realizing of the project “Strengthening Capacities of Municipalities in the Nisava District”. The period for realizing this project is until September 2009. For each individual project that Nisava District Municipalities shall compete with will be set aside one and half million Dinars, whereas no infrastructure project will be supported.
The Memorandum was signed on behalf of the LEDIB programme by the Coordinator Carsten Lund with Nis Mayor, Milos Simonovic and presidents of the municipalities of Palilula, Pantelej, Medijana, Crveni Krst, Niska banja, Aleksinac, Doljevac, Gadzin Han, Merosina, Svrljig and Razanj. The aim of today’s meeting was to improve services of the local authorities’ administration in the domain of small and medium size enterprises.
The Mayor of Nis, Milos Simonovic emphasized during the signing ceremony that this is: “Great chance for all municipalities of the Nisava District to create through this programme a favourable climate for attracting investors, opening new jobs and establishing better international cooperation.
Managing, financing, promoting, as finding consumers and clients are the most frequent problems that SMEs are facing says Carsten Lund, the Coordinator of the LEDIB programme and adds that these problems are similar in small and medium size enterprises in Western and Eastern Europe only on different levels.
