Empowerment and Education of Women in Agribusiness project is implemented in order to enable financial independence and poverty reduction of unemployed women in Nisava and Toplica districts, through motivation, trainings and preparation for starting their own businesses – self-employment. The project is financed by USAID through Agribusiness Project, and is implemented by the Association of Business Women Nis, supported by LEDIB Programme, whose members are also entrepreneurs who recognize the need to share their experience with other women and make it possible for them to see the options owning a business offers, as well as chances they have at the market.

Unemployed women from Nisava and Toplica districts have the right to participate, but they also need to have some experience in agriculture and an idea how to start their own business, or they are in the process of starting their own business and need additional knowledge and skills in that area.

Project participants will attend a ten-day training program that would enable them to gain necessary knowledge and skills in order to successfully found and manage agricultural companies. Individual consultations regarding business plan development to be held by project expert advisors would also be provided for training participants. Participation is free of charge.
