Delegation consisting of LEDIB Programme, SPUNO – Nisava District Agricultural Advisory Association, ‘’Agrorazvoj’’ Advisory Service, City of Nis Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and "Agrozem" – Nisava District Advisory Agricultural Service representatives visited Aarhus, Denmark from May 31 – June 4, 2010. This study tour was organized by LEDIB Programme.
Delegation members were: Rodoljub Zivadinovic, Ivana Krstic, Goran Vidanovic, Zoran Pesic, Violeta Maklenovic, Dejana Radenkovic, Dejan Miladinovic, Tamara Zivadinovic, Maja Mitic Nikolic and Dragan Petkovic.
The objective of this study tour was to get introduced to the way in which Danish Agricultural Service operates field activities, strengthen contacts for further cooperation in agriculture as well as to understand the role of advisors in agricultural production process.
During the study tour, delegation from Serbia visited more than 20 institutions, farms and agricultural products processing facilities. They also had the chance to visit the Agricultural Knowledge Centre – Danish Agricultural Advisory Service, Djursland Agricultural Advisory Service, "Stenalt" farm dealing with organic goat milk, cheese and meat production, and "Them" dairy. Delegation visited "Moller" farm on which there are facilities for processing and selling flour products, as well as "Karensmide" fruit producer. The tour also consisted of visit to "Green Academy" seedling plant, and meeting with Mr. Svend Jensen, Sour Cherry Producers European Association President. Serbian delegation was hosted by Mr. Torben Huus Bruun, DPPS Danish Agricultural Service for International Affairs Director and Ms. Grete Rahbek, Senior Project Manager in International Affairs Sector.
Since AGROZEM Nisava District Agricultural Advisory Service was founded by LEDIB Programme in cooperation with SPUNO, and supported by Danish Agricultural Advisory Service, the newly gained experience will be of great importance for functioning of the Service itself that was established in order to be of service to the agricultural producers.
