The Local Economic Development in the Balkans (LEDIB) programme is a five-year programme for support to local economic development with a focus on development of the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise (SME) Sector. In line with the strategy of the Danish Neighbourhood Programme, LEDIB covers Nisava District and is in support of the poverty reduction strategies of Serbia.
The development objective of the programme is socially balanced economic development and employment creation in the Nišava District in Serbia.

Between the University of Nis - Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture and the LEDIB Cluster House, and supported by LEDIB, the Danish Programme for the Local Economic Development in the Balkans,
YOU ARE INVITED to send your scientific – research paper related to the area of cluster development in order for it to be published in the first special edition of the scientific Magazine SCIENCE + PRACTICE.
Criteria for the paper preparation:
Deadline for applications: May 23, 2012
The papers will be reviewed by a Committee consisting of four SME sector and cluster development experts by May 31, 2012.
All the applicants will be notified on the final decision by June 5, 2012. Selected papers will be published without compensation, and the publications will be distributed to libraries and educational - scientific institutions in the Balkan countries.

Nis office of the Danish programme for support fruits and berries development in the south Serbia FRUITS & BERRIES, announced a public call for introduction of international standards for farms and cooperatives, SMEs and entrepreneurs in 2011/2012.
Non refundable funds will be granted for organization of businesses in accordance with the international quality standards requirements (standardization, certification, recertification, supervision, and quality label).
Rights to apply for funds have private persons – holders of commercial family agriculture households, and legal entities like entrepreneurs, SMEs, cooperatives with minimum 10 members of registered agriculture household having an active status.
