Delegation of the producers of children's clothing from Nišava District in the organization of LEDIB Program visited the International Fair of Children's fashion in Copenhagen.

The two-days meeting of Craft Chambers of Nis and Novi Sad (22-23 December 2008) organized by the LEDIB programme enabled the concrete linking of business organizations of South Serbia and Vojvodina.

Representatives and employees in business organizations and partner organizations of LEDIB (Nis Regional Chamber of Economy, General Association of Independent Businessmen and Craftsmen of Nis, General Association of Businessmen of the Nis Area) completed the entire course “Use of Computers in business according to the ECDL Standard – Advanced Business Level”.

A group of 12 members – representatives of business organizations / associations in Nisava district finished the second circle of lessons about Using Computers in Business.Using Computers in Business in accordance with ECDL Standard – Follow-up Training - Concepts of IT. Data Base (MS Access). Presentation (MS Power Point) after ten weeks persistence and 40 classes is finished on 28 November 2008.

A four-day workshop for the drafting of business and marketing plan, as of feasibility studies started on Wednesday 3 December 2008 at the hotel Ambassador. The training is conducted by the Regional Centre for the Development of SMEs and entrepreneurship of Nis.

In the frame of the component Support to the Business development services Market, LEDIB programme is conducting a Support to sustainable BDS market in the period October-December 2008.

Representatives of business organizations (Nis RCE, Association of engineering and technical organizations in Nis, Associations of businessmen) and of services of business development shall have the opportunity to get acquainted with elementary features of utilizing the MS Project software package in the aim of managing project with more efficiency.

At the Regional Centre for the professional development of persons employed in education started the training ISO 9000 Standards – interpreting and applying. The training is aimed to present and potential members of the LEDIB programme textile clusters, concretely the Textile Cluster of the Nisava District and the Textile Cluster of Business Apprentice.

A Financial Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark and the National Bank of Serbia is signed on Friday 24 October 2008 at 12:30 p.m. in the press room of the Serbian Government building. Minister of Finance Dr Diana Dragutinovic, NBS Governor Radovan Jelasic and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark Mette Kjuel Nielsen signed the Agreement.

In partnership with Niš Regional Office of Serbian Agency for Development of SMEs the LEDIB Experts Team has been realized two meetings with more then 100 start-ups from 10 economics sectors. The result of meetings is establishment of Textile Starters Clusters, Construction Starters Clusters and Starters Association of Niš Region.

June 12th, 2008 - The Project Management Follow-up Training was organized in accordance with identified needs and requests of the LEDIB BOs Partners: The Regional Chamber of Economy Nis, The Union of Engineering-Technical Organizations Nis/The Association of Architects and Civil-Engineers, The Association of Entrepreneurs, The City Customers Organization, as well as representatives of the Business Development Services from Nisava District.

On May 22nd 2008, LEDIB Programme in the cooperation with Regional Chamber of Economy Valjevo organized a study visit aimed at exchanging experiences, knowledge and making B2B contacts and mutual cooperation between BOs from Nisava and Kolubarski districts.

The signing of Memorandum of Understanding took place on March 19th, 2008 with Union of Engineering-Technical Organisations Nis and LEDIB Programme representatives.

On March 7th 2008, with the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding by LEDIB Programme Coordinator and LAB members, LEDIB Programme Local Advisory Board (LAB) has been established.
